Improvviso!
The composition is an “étude” on cross-hands technique. Crossing as superimposition of the limbs and as change of rolls between hands in exposing composition layers. An ostinato in the middle instrument-register is a thin sound carpet at whose sides of which there are sudden and nervous interventions into a rhapsodic style, almost improvised (this is the reason of exclamation mark to trope a full of history title) that operate with the ostinato in the rhythm, in the dynamic elements, in the way to touch keys and in the piano gesture till to reach a temporary paroxystic transfiguration of the same ostinato. Elements never blends, but there is only a perspective play that, in a dialectic of light and shade and in the perceptive illusion, sometime is able to obscure and hide one of the layer.

Il brano è uno studio sulla tecnica dell’incrocio delle mani. Incrocio inteso nel senso di sovrapposizione degli arti e nel senso di scambio di ruoli fra le mani nell’esporre gli strati della composizione. Un ostinato nel registro centrale dello strumento ha il ruolo di un sottile tappeto sonoro sul quale si adagiano ai suoi lati interventi subitanei e nervosi in stile rapsodico, quasi improvvisativo (da qui il punto esclamativo a tropare il titolo gravido di storia) che interagiscono nel ritmo, nella dinamica, nei modi d’attacco e nel gesto pianistico con l’ostinato stesso sino ad alimentarne una sua momentanea trasfigurazione parossistica. Non vi è mai fusione degli elementi, ma soltanto un gioco di prospettive che, nella dialettica dei chiaro-scuri e nell’illusione percettiva, a volte riesce ad offuscare uno degli strati nascondendolo.
